Airbnb Charged My Card Multiple Times Without Creating a Reservation
On November 18, while trying to make a reservation through Airbnb, every time I pressed the “book reservation” button, approximately $1.42 was charged from my card. Five transactions occurred during the morning and one more in the afternoon, resulting in a total of six separate charges and approximately $9 in pending authorization transactions. These charges appear on my statement with the description “e pos airbnb inc.”
Despite all of these transactions, the reservation was never forwarded to the host. In other words, there is neither a confirmed reservation nor any clear explanation as to why these amounts are still being held as pending authorizations on my card.
When I contacted Airbnb support, I was told that the issue would be forwarded to a specialized team. However, even after a significant amount of time has passed, I still have not received any update, clarification, or solution regarding the matter.
I request a clear explanation for why these pending authorization charges were created and also demand that all amounts currently being held on my card be refunded immediately, since no reservation was ever completed. I kindly ask for this uncertainty and inconvenience to be resolved as soon as possible.
