In February 2025, I made a one-time, one-night reservation through Airbnb using my boyfriend’s account, and the payment for that stay was already charged to my card at that time. However, exactly one year later, today, I noticed unexpected charges on my card, even though I did not make any new transactions.
I initially received a message from my bank stating that a refund process had been initiated. However, shortly afterward, those refund transactions were charged to my card again as if they were new purchases, resulting in four separate charges and a total of $133. These transactions also appear in the Airbnb account with reservation codes.
When I contacted Airbnb about this issue and provided the reservation codes, they refused to assist me directly and instead insisted on speaking with the account owner. However, the charges were made on my card, and I am the one experiencing the issue. Despite this, their approach has made the process more difficult and has left my problem unresolved.
I request that the full amount of $133 charged to my card in relation to these transactions be refunded to me as soon as possible and that my grievance be properly resolved.
