On May 8, I booked a hotel through the Agoda app for May 14–16. My booking was confirmed, and I received both a reservation number (1609038936) and a reference number (L706029164). Everything looked fine—until I arrived at the hotel.
To my surprise and frustration, the hotel staff told me they had no record of my reservation. It didn’t appear in their system or even in their email inbox. Despite showing them my confirmation, they said there was no available room and turned me away. The hotel also tried to contact Agoda, but nothing came through on their end either.
I immediately tried to contact Agoda’s customer service, only to find that they offer no real-time support in Turkey—just an automated mobile messaging system, which is completely unhelpful in an urgent situation. There is no direct human support and no one I could actually speak to.
Because of this, we were left stranded with no accommodation and have lost the money we paid. Agoda, you confirmed this booking and took our payment. You are responsible for ensuring the hotel receives the reservation. I demand a full refund in ₺ and compensation for the inconvenience and stress you caused.
