Last year, I paid $228 for my annual WeTransfer subscription. However, this year, without any approval, notification, or consent from me, my yearly subscription fee was changed to $1990 and charged to my credit card on April 10, 2026. This amount represents both an excessive price increase and a charge that was taken without being clearly disclosed to me beforehand.
As soon as I noticed the issue, I contacted WeTransfer support by email, but I still have not received any response. At the same time, I contacted my bank to initiate a refund request and, for security reasons, I canceled my credit card. Afterward, I also terminated my WeTransfer subscription completely.
I request a full refund of the $1990 charge that was collected without my consent and increased to an unreasonable amount. I expect this serious issue and financial inconvenience to be resolved urgently, and I also expect WeTransfer to implement proper controls to prevent similar situations from happening again in the future.
