Vestel Refrigerator Repair Delays Waste My Time and Money with No Resolution

I purchased a refrigerator from Vestel about 6-7 years ago, and recently it began showing an "sr" error and beeping non-stop, especially at night, disrupting my sleep. I called for service, and the authorised service center took on the case. The technician informed me that both the motherboard and sensors needed replacement, and I agreed to the quoted price. He promised to order the motherboard and keep me updated, but I later discovered the order hadn’t been placed. After reordering, the motherboard arrived faulty. They scheduled a service visit for Saturday but canceled without informing me. I only found out after calling myself. Now, the refrigerator is beeping again at night, making it unusable. Yesterday, the team suggested taking it to their workshop for further inspection, promising an appointment today. I requested confirmation of the exact time, but it’s now 12:00, and no one has contacted me. This entire process has been a waste of my time and money, with no repair and no follow-up on appointments. I cannot use my refrigerator or store food at home due to this ongoing issue. Did I choose Vestel for this unprofessional and problem-causing service instead of a solution? I demand a refund and a prompt, respectful response to confirm if this refrigerator can be repaired or not.

Here, I am sharing my issue step by step with the Vestel Beşiktaş Authorized Service.

I made an appointment with the Vestel authorized service due to an Sr error.

They came to the house on a Saturday and said that the mainboard and sensor needed to be replaced. That evening, I sent a message confirming the offer of 4600 TL for the mainboard and sensor. I did not receive a response from the technician. I called, but they did not answer their phone. The following Monday, I called again and said that I had given my approval. They said they would place the order and inform me within 2-3 days. Three days later, I called the Vestel Beşiktaş Authorized Service, and they informed me that the order had not been placed.

The order was placed. It was communicated that it would be installed on Saturday. I waited at home on Saturday. No one came. I called, and they said the part had arrived defective. I was not informed that they would not come or that the part was defective. My day was wasted due to this disorganization. They came and replaced the mainboard and sensor. The refrigerator continued to give errors from time to time. So my issue was not resolved with the change of the mainboard and sensor.

After the mainboard and sensor change, I was called twice by the authorized service and asked to write good reviews about them online. As if the entire process had been well managed...

When the refrigerator continued to give errors, I called the authorized service. This time they said they would take the refrigerator to the workshop. I work during the day, so I asked both the authorized service and the technician to inform me a day in advance to arrange my schedule. They called me only 15 minutes before arriving. I had to urgently ask people to let them into my house while I was not there.

They called from the workshop and said the compressor was faulty and a payment of 8500 TL was required. Since I had previously paid 3500 TL, they said this would be deducted. My payment was 4600 TL. Even here, they got back to me without checking the calculations, or they charged me more than the 3500 TL for the mainboard and sensor change.

I am constantly spending time dealing with all these service issues. Since the refrigerator could not be repaired, I brought a temporary refrigerator. I paid the porter 300 TL just to carry it. If the refrigerator is repaired and returned, I will have to pay another 300 TL to carry it down.

This process started on October 3, and today is November 12, and we are still in the middle of the issue. I wrote to you from here. You are suggesting new channels for my complaints.

I demand the sharing of spare part prices. I want to be properly informed. I demand compensation for my expenses.

"We continue our story with the slogan "Why should it be with Vestel if it didn't work out." They wrote a response here saying they are interested in the story, etc., but no one called, emailed, came, or went. So, we were left with what we wrote here. Gradually, I will share the problems we experienced with other products as well. Please think not twice but ten times before buying Vestel. It looks like a high-quality product with a polished exterior, but in fact, they sell problematic products of the lowest quality. Vestel is regret. You are literally humiliated with your money. They also do everything to extend the warranty period. Vestel is regret."
