Vestel Refused to Repair or Replace My Inox Refrigerator


One of the many Vestel brand products I own, an Inox refrigerator that I bought in 2013, suddenly stopped working. I called customer service, explained the situation and was given a service appointment. The service employee examined the refrigerator and stated that the motherboard was broken. He spoke to someone on the phone to find out if a new motherboard was available and according to the answer he received, he said that a motherboard suitable for this refrigerator was no longer produced and that in this case, the refrigerator could not be repaired. When I asked what to do, he told me -as if mockingly- that the refrigerator was now "garbage". I asked if it was possible to exchange it for a similar model refrigerator for a fee. He said that the exchange would not be possible on the grounds that 10 years had passed since the date of purchase of the product. On top of that, while leaving me alone with my victimization without coming up with any solution, he demanded ₺400 under the name of service fee and did this so recklessly -as if this amount of money was insignificant in these difficult economic conditions- he came up with a ridiculous excuse such as "you have already received a message regarding this payment". No, I did not receive such a message, nor did the customer representative I spoke to on the phone tell me about this fee! On the other hand, a similar malfunction occurred in an Arçelik brand dishwasher in my inventory, the authorized service came and stated that the part could not be supplied and reported the situation to the center, and the Arçelik headquarters replaced the dishwasher with a new equivalent machine for a small fee. Without resorting to lame excuses like "it's been 10 years"! However, Vestel did not stand behind its products. As a result, Vestel confirmed in my eyes that it is an irresponsible brand and made me regret buying its products. Boycott Vestel.
