Wheelchair Request Challenge At Turkish Airlines Website!

I am trying to buy a ticket from Turkish Airlines for a flight to the United States for an elderly passenger who needs wheelchair assistance, and I am shocked that there is no option on the website to request a wheelchair during the ticket purchase process. Despite paying over a thousand dollars for a ticket, I am forced to rely on a completely outdated and risky system where I must call the call center at least 48 hours before the flight to make this request. This logic is unacceptable. What happens if I forget to call, if I remember 45 hours before the flight instead of 48, or if I spend an hour waiting in the call center queue? What if the person on the phone misunderstands, forgets, or records the request incorrectly? In this day and age, it is unbelievable that instead of allowing a simple selection on the website, passengers are forced to deal with a call center for such a basic and critical need. Even low-cost airlines selling $30 tickets, such as Ryanair or Wizz Air, ask during the booking process whether you need assistance, while Turkish Airlines, which sells tickets worth thousands of dollars, has not implemented such a simple and essential option. This is a serious scandal in terms of accessibility and customer experience. I do not want to call the call center just to be calmed down while the same flawed system continues. I want this nonsense to be heard and corrected. My clear and concrete request is that Turkish Airlines immediately add an option on its website during ticket purchase where passengers can select “I request a wheelchair” and similar assistance services, and that this process be handled digitally, safely, and clearly without forcing passengers to use the call center.
