Turkish Airlines Staff Caused Me to Miss My Flight
I traveled from Adana to Esenboga with a connecting flight by Turkish Airlines and was supposed to go to Izmir from there. When I arrived at Esenboga, they told me that the flight I was supposed to board would be delayed by 45 minutes. I saw this on the screen. I asked the staff and went to the cafeteria to have a coffee. When I returned, the flight had already departed. When I asked why, they said they had rescheduled the delay. I asked why they didn't announce it, and they said this is a Silent Airport, so there are no announcements in the cafeteria or bakery. They could have notified me or called me. After all, I was at the airport, and they made me miss my flight. When I told them this, they said there was nothing they could do, and I was left stranded at the airport in the middle of the night. There was only one flight available, and it was extremely expensive, almost 8 times the price of a regular ticket. I bought it, and they did not apologize or offer any solution. This was such a bizarre experience. Silent airport, I will never forget this. There is nothing more important than being human, and all the staff, airport employees, officials, and higher-ups who ignored this will eventually face the consequences of their actions, and so it should be.
