Sebamed Tear-Free Baby Shampoo Burned My Child's Eyes

Sebamed Tear-Free Baby Shampoo Burned My Child's Eyes

I purchased Sebamed Baby Shampoo with Chamomile Extract from the Civil store at Entepe Mall in Konya. I chose this shampoo because the label clearly states that it is "tear-free." Trusting that claim, I used it to bathe my child. However, during today's bath, a small amount of the shampoo got into my child's eyes, causing immediate burning, redness, and excessive tearing. Since this happened, my child has become afraid of the shampoo, cries whenever they see it, and no longer wants to take a bath.

To determine whether this was just an isolated incident, I used the same shampoo to wash my own face later today. I experienced the same severe burning sensation and redness in my eyes. I find it extremely concerning that a product marketed as "tear-free," especially one intended for babies, can cause this level of eye irritation.

I request that Sebamed urgently investigate this chamomile baby shampoo, thoroughly review its formulation and safety, and provide me with a clear written explanation of the findings. I also ask that any necessary measures be taken if the investigation identifies an issue, so that other families do not experience the same problem.
