Turkish Airlines left me stranded. I was supposed to fly to Samsun from Istanbul with a connecting flight on 27.07.2023. My initial flight TK 7415 at 19:10 was delayed multiple times due to unforeseen circumstances, and I received three messages about the delay. However, there was no explanation or call from the airline. We went to the Turkish Airlines office at the airport after arriving at 5 PM, and they kept us waiting with promises to resolve the issue. Eventually, they informed us that there were no other flights to Samsun and that they would send us to Amasya instead. Since we had urgent matters to attend to and no place to stay in Izmir, we accepted their offer. They assured us that they would arrange a hotel in Istanbul and transfer us to the Amasya flight the next day. Upon arriving in Istanbul, we were taken to a hotel in Bağcılar, which took an hour. We reached the hotel at midnight and were picked up at 3 AM, leaving us no time to rest. We spent the entire day hungry, and the hotel even charged us for meals. Despite being a major airline, Turkish Airlines arranged a hotel that charged for food due to their own mistake. Instead of arriving home around 23:00 on 27.07.2023, I reached home at 11:10 on 28.07.2023, hungry and exhausted. This experience was highly disappointing for such a renowned brand.
