Turkish Airlines Seat Change Issue
UWCF52
For a flight to England, I purchased tickets for my spouse and three children, opting for more expensive tickets to select seats in the front for easier boarding and deboarding. We booked four seats in row eight. However, your staff assigned us to row twenty-two for some reason. Why are we facing this issue? I don't want my spouse to experience stress due to her lack of English proficiency, and in Turkey, we were told at the gate, 'You can file a complaint for a refund upon arrival.' When I called customer service, they responded, 'We can't reach the airport from here.' While my spouse and three children are still waiting at the gate in Turkey, you are unable to resolve our issue. We chose Turkish Airlines for its quality service to ensure their first trip goes smoothly. The staff member responsible for this should be questioned. We wonder if my spouse's headscarf influenced this situation. My spouse was told by the staff in Istanbul that the aircraft type had changed, but how many seats are there on the new plane, and why couldn't we get seats in the front? Even if the aircraft type changed, I paid extra for seat selection, so a refund should be processed directly through the system. Why does my spouse need to apply for this upon arrival in England? I am very upset about this situation and will do my best to prevent others from experiencing similar issues.
