On March 21, 2023, I flew from Pristina to Ankara with a stopover in Istanbul on Turkish Airlines. When I got to Ankara, I saw that my luggage was broken. I told the people at the airport right away, and they made a report. The worker told me that they couldn't give me a replacement right away because my luggage was so badly damaged, but I could pick it up at any airport or have it sent to my home. Since I live in Isparta, I asked Turkish Airlines' baggage department to send my bags to my house and waited for their claims department to figure out how much money I was owed. On April 3, 2023, I got a reply saying that my claim for compensation was denied because my luggage had been damaged and fixed on a previous flight with Turkish Airlines. I asked for a new look at my claim both in writing and in person on the same day. But on April 4, 2023, I got the same answer, even though the worker at the airport who made the report told me a replacement could be given. I don't think it's fair that my claim for compensation was turned down because of a previous repair when the airport staff said a replacement could be given. My claim number is 2023054046, and my report number is ESBTK72159. I want Turkish Airlines to take care of my problems and pay me for the trouble and damage they caused by mishandling my luggage.
