Turkish Airlines Lost My Baggage and Provided No Support
My complaint is about Turkish Airlines. On February 23, 2023, I bought a flight ticket from Istanbul to Malatya for myself and my son. We had three pieces of luggage, but we only received two of them. One of our bags was lost. We noticed this when we arrived at Malatya Airport. We filed a claim for our lost baggage, but we were told that they couldn't file a report at that moment because they didn't know the codes for the room where reports are filed. They took our baggage claim ticket and phone number and later sent us a file number via text message. Despite several follow-ups, they kept saying they were still searching for the bag. Eventually, they directed us to the insurance department. I have emails from them asking about the contents and the estimated value of the lost items. We provided the necessary information, but they later told us that a report should have been filed on the same day. I asked their staff if it was impossible to file a report at that moment. I took a photo of the baggage claim ticket, which clearly shows the date. Everything is documented. So far, I have not received any compensation for my loss. I am very dissatisfied with Turkish Airlines. They did not compensate me for my loss, and I am a victim of an earthquake.
