Turkish Airlines Damaged My Luggage and Held Me Responsible
On 31.07.2023, I took a flight with Turkish Airlines. Before the flight, I handed over my luggage with only the handle broken. After the flight, I noticed that the wheel of my luggage was broken and immediately went to the lost baggage section to report the issue. However, they had registered my luggage as damaged before the flight without detailing the exact nature of the damage. Because my luggage was recorded as damaged, the staff at the lost baggage section told me I needed to handle the process online. I left the airport and completed all the online communications in detail. Despite all this, they held me responsible, claiming that my luggage was already broken before the flight. I repeatedly explained that only the handle was broken before the flight and requested them to check the cameras, but I got no result. Turkish Airlines, it wasn't necessary to stoop so low over a piece of luggage.
