Turkish Airlines Ignored My Dietary Restrictions
On my Turkish Airlines flight from Bali to Istanbul, departing on September 11 and returning on September 17, I experienced a serious issue regarding my dietary restrictions. Despite notifying the airline two weeks in advance about my lactose intolerance, I was served a meal containing lactose. After consuming the meal, I asked if it contained any dairy products due to my allergy and was told it did not.
However, after I became ill, I was informed that the meal was vegetarian, not vegan. Although I filled out a complaint form and was assured that there would be no issues on the return flight, no dietary information had been entered. While the business class attendant offered assistance, the economy class attendant refused to call for help and responded rudely when I requested some fruit due to dizziness, saying they could only provide fruit from the breakfast meal if I couldn't eat breakfast.
I was left hungry for 12 hours and treated with a lack of respect. The disregard for my health condition was extremely disappointing!
