Turkish Airlines Served Non-Vegan Meal Despite My Strict Vegan Request on International Flight
On my recent international flight with Turkish Airlines (THY), I selected the "strict vegan" meal option. However, I was served a breakfast plate containing cheese, smoked turkey, and yogurt, which are all non-vegan items. When I pointed out my specific meal request, I was told that the vegan meal had become soggy and couldn’t be served due to health regulations. To "compensate," they brought me the same non-vegan breakfast plate again.
Despite the crew's efforts, as a vegan, I cannot eat any animal products, no matter how many plates are offered. The only edible items were tomatoes and cucumbers, which were mixed with the other non-vegan foods. I urge THY to take this matter seriously and provide an appropriate response as soon as possible.
No response has been provided from here, nor have I received any feedback from my other social media accounts. If my grievance is not taken into consideration, I will apply to the Consumer Courts and kindly request Turkish Airlines to take responsibility.
