Turkish Airlines Has Caused Me Hardship Due To Flight Cancellation
My Turkish Airlines flight TK2679 from Mardin to Istanbul, scheduled to depart at 20:05 on July 16, 2026, was cancelled by the airline, and I was only able to arrive in Istanbul one day late, after approximately 24 hours of disruption. During this entire period, I did not benefit from any of the services and rights that were offered in theory, such as accommodation or meals, and I had to cover all my basic needs entirely out of my own pocket. My total expenses for accommodation, food and other essential needs during this 24‑hour delay amounted to approximately 30,000 TL. In addition to these expenses, I also suffered a loss of income because I was unable to go to work for one full day due to the cancellation and resulting delay. I contacted Turkish Airlines after the incident and submitted my requests, but I only received standard, template responses and my request was rejected without a satisfactory explanation. I was flying on an EcoFly ticket, and my PNR code for this reservation is V6ZY5N. I request that Turkish Airlines conduct the necessary investigation, compensate all my expenses incurred during the delay, and also cover my loss of income arising from the cancellation, and that my grievance be resolved as soon as possible.
