I am a 16-year-old girl. My family and I planned a trip for me to visit my uncle who lives in the United States, and my family purchased tickets for the Dulles-Istanbul flight in April 2025. The day before the flight, I confirmed my seat assignment online as seat 16H. On August 28, 2025, when I sat in seat 16H on flight TK0008 from Dulles to Istanbul, the cabin crew changed my seat twice for unacceptable reasons in order to seat a family with children next to each other. Without any security justification, I was first moved to seat 31H, then to seat 41H at the very back when the passenger for 31H arrived. In addition, an attendant asked for and checked my passport. I do not believe the cabin crew has the right to conduct such passport checks and ask unnecessary questions. During the meal service on the flight, I was not offered the multiple meal options available to passengers in the front rows; I was given only one meal option and had no choice but to accept it. All of these incidents caused me significant anxiety and stress throughout my flight. You cannot make a 16-year-old girl traveling alone feel uncomfortable and cause her anxiety. If there was going to be a seat change, it should have been for a better seat. You cannot victimize your passengers and bully them. We chose you for a peaceful and safe journey, but I was uncomfortable on the plane, and my family was uncomfortable in Turkey. I cannot accept this kind of service. It is unacceptable for a company that claims to be a member of Star Alliance to victimize its passengers and leave them in such a difficult situation. I wonder if you would treat a non-Turkish passenger the same way. As a result of my experience, Turkish Airlines' corporate image and appeal have been seriously damaged in my eyes and those of my family. We will not choose Turkish Airlines for our next trips unless we have no other choice. I demand an apology from Turkish Airlines for the injustice I have suffered and appropriate compensation as determined by the company.
