Turkish Airlines Flight TK2597 Air Conditioning Issue
On July 20, 2024, during our Turkish Airlines flight TK2597 from Gazipasa to Istanbul, scheduled to depart at 20:50, the air conditioning system was not functioning. Before takeoff, when we asked the cabin crew about when the air conditioning would be turned on, they informed us that it would start working shortly after the engines were running. After takeoff, we asked again why the air conditioning was still not working, and we were told that there was a malfunction and it would not be operational. When we inquired why we were not given accurate information before takeoff, the cabin crew explained that they could only inform us of the issue after receiving confirmation from the pilot. Is the pilot aware that they are transporting people, especially during the hottest days of summer from Alanya to Istanbul without air conditioning? Additionally, who authorized the takeoff of an aircraft with a malfunctioning air conditioning system?
