My family purchased round-trip tickets from Turkish Airlines for travel between Antalya and Istanbul. My mother is disabled and relies on a wheelchair, so we informed Turkish Airlines about her need for a wheelchair both for the outbound and return flights. While traveling from Antalya to Istanbul, there were no issues, and we boarded the plane without any document requests. However, on the return flight from Istanbul to Antalya, they were denied boarding in a threatening manner, stating that they needed a doctor's report or they would be removed from the plane. Why was a doctor's report not required on the outbound flight but demanded on the return flight? My father had to purchase a ticket to Isparta for an additional ₺2000 because there were no available flights to Antalya. Consequently, my disabled mother, my sibling, and my father had to stay overnight at the airport. The next day, they flew to Isparta. On the way to pick up my family from Isparta, my brother's car broke down. I am complaining about this situation for which Turkish Airlines is entirely responsible. The financial and emotional damages should be compensated: the car repair cost of ₺10000, the extra amount paid for the ticket, and the priceless distress of a sick woman stranded at the airport.
