Turkish Airlines Flight Cancellation and Compensation Issues
On 25.0.2024, my flight from Istanbul to Belgrade was canceled due to overbooking. My friend and I were rescheduled to a morning flight and accommodated in a hotel. We were informed that we would receive a compensation of 250 €. Despite almost 2 months passing, no payment has been made by Turkish Airlines. We provided all the required information and submitted a feedback form, but received no results. Multiple calls to customer service only yielded responses like 'your process is still ongoing' without any resolution. It is disappointing that Turkish Airlines, a reputed company, is trying to avoid paying a total of 500 € after causing such inconvenience.
As someone who flies 6-8 times a month for work, I will avoid choosing Turkish Airlines unless absolutely necessary.
Turkish Airlines should focus less on sponsoring athletes and more on providing actual service. Their lack of professionalism is evident!
