Turkish Airlines Flight Overbooking Compensation Issue
My flight TK2126 from Istanbul Airport to Ankara Esenboğa Airport on 15.06.2024 at 08:00 was changed to flight TK2170 on the same day at 18:00 because the plane was overbooked by 10%. This was already frustrating, but I accepted it as there was nothing else to do. They gave me a paper for compensation, stating I could get 100€ from any Turkish Airlines ticket office. However, no office in Istanbul had cash, and I was told to get it in Ankara. When I arrived at the ticket office in Ankara, the same scenario occurred: no cash available, and they told me I have a year to claim it. This is unacceptable. When we buy tickets, do we say we will pay you in a year? Turkish Airlines has greatly disappointed me. Give me my money. I couldn't get my money.
