Turkish Airlines Elite Seat Selection Failed On Luanda Flight
I am a Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles Elite member and on my flight on May 6 on the Luanda–Istanbul route I was unable to choose my seat during online check-in despite my Elite status. The system did not allow me to select a seat, and I could not benefit from the seat selection privilege that should come with my status. In this situation I could not find anyone to contact, so I was not able to receive any support or explanation from Turkish Airlines or Miles&Smiles regarding why I was prevented from choosing a seat. As an Elite member I expect an explanation and an apology for this experience, and as a gesture of goodwill I request an upgrade on my next flight on the Addis Ababa–Istanbul route.
As an elite status passenger, I couldn't select a seat on my TH7CGJ Luanda–Addis Ababa flight, I got the worst seat and there was no Turkish Airlines staff at Luanda Airport. The flight was canceled, we were transferred to another airline, but I received no basic support like seat selection. My complaint was answered only with an unnecessary and useless response, and no progress was made.
As a Miles&Smiles Elite member, my seat selection privilege was blocked during online check-in for my Luanda–Istanbul flight. Due to a system error, I was unable to select a seat and received no support at all. Turkish Airlines continues to deny their mistakes. Therefore, I am requesting an apology, bonus miles, and an upgrade on my Addis Ababa–Istanbul flight. So far, none of these requests have been fulfilled, and the issue remains unresolved.
