Turkish Airlines Compensation Request for My Flight
On June 9, 2025, prior to flight TK2162 from Istanbul to Ankara scheduled at 16:00, I used the Istanbul CIP lounge service as a Miles&Smiles Elite member. As soon as the final boarding call was made, I promptly left the lounge and proceeded to the gate. Despite confirming my identity with the ground staff and arriving on time, I was denied boarding on the grounds that “the operation had closed.” As a result of this situation: I was directed to a distant location to retrieve my baggage, I was not offered any alternative solution, as I was told there were no available seats on the following Turkish Airlines flights, I was informed that I needed to purchase a new ticket from AJET, I had to transfer to Sabiha Gökçen Airport on my own and complete my travel with another flight, Throughout this process, I experienced significant inconvenience both financially and physically. As a loyal Miles&Smiles Elite member, I respectfully request compensation for this grievance, either through a refund for the unused TK2162 ticket or reimbursement for the AJET ticket I was forced to purchase.
