My White Helly Hansen Jacket Turned Gray After Its Very First Wash
I purchased a white Helly Hansen jacket for my son from the Bodrum Nivo store approximately 10 days ago. This was my second purchase from this store, and I specifically asked whether the items were second-hand or counterfeit. I was assured that the products were completely unused and authentic. The cashier staff stated that the items were merely export surplus; however, my subsequent research revealed that the products were actually used and refurbished items.
When I washed the jacket for the first time strictly following the care instructions, its color faded completely, turning the white jacket gray. As someone who has used the Helly Hansen brand for years, I have never encountered such a problem with any product before. This situation has severely shaken my trust in both the product's quality and the information provided to me.
Today, I took the jacket back to the Bodrum Nivo store, but they stated they could not take any action whatsoever without a receipt. When I asked, "Should I just throw $84 into the trash?", they simply stared at me without offering any solution. How could I have known the product would turn out defective? That is why I did not feel the need to keep the receipt. Leaving a customer completely unsupported over a jacket that reached this condition in such a short time and after its very first wash is unacceptable.
I believe I was misled during the purchase when told the item was "unused and authentic," and I certainly did not expect a Helly Hansen jacket to lose its color so quickly. Because I did not receive value for the approximately $84 paid, I demand an urgent product exchange or full refund for this jacket purchased from the Bodrum Nivo store. Additionally, I would like to state that I will be lodging a separate complaint directly with the brand itself regarding this entire process.
