Turkish Airlines Damaged My Dog's Transport Cage

On October 26, 2023, I flew with my dog from Macedonia to Istanbul Airport via Turkish Airlines. Since my dog weighs 32 kg, I used an IATA-compliant dog transport cage. Unfortunately, the wheel sockets of the cage were broken during the baggage handling process. I had taken photos and videos of the cage before boarding the plane in Macedonia to document its condition, and it was intact with no damage. Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport, the customs personnel dragged the cage, causing significant damage to the wheel sockets. I filed a complaint due to the broken wheels and damaged wheel sockets. Within 6 days, I received a response with a compensation amount of ₺4193. However, the current price of my dog cage is ₺8200, plus ₺1200 for the wheels, totaling ₺9400. This means I would have to pay an additional ₺5200 out of my pocket due to Turkish Airlines' fault. I submitted an appeal and have not received a response for approximately 15 days. Turkish Airlines, which initially responded within 6 days, has not replied to my appeal for 15 days. I request that my grievance be addressed.
