I wanted to purchase a promotional ticket from THY for our international flight. I bought a promotional ticket without baggage for myself and my mother. When I tried to buy a ticket with baggage for my 6-year-old child, the system did not allow it. When I spoke with the call center, the representative, who was inexperienced, said that the child's ticket was linked to the mother's and that there would be no ticketing or charge. After this conversation, which did not sit well with me, I called the call center again after a while. This time, they said that the child did not have a ticket and would not be able to travel. For the tickets that cost ₺1500 each for the mother and father, they now offered a new price of over ₺4000. Currently, the mother and I have outbound tickets, and the mother, father, and child have return tickets. However the child does not have an outbound ticket. When I try to buy a ticket for the child via mobile, the system gives a price of over ₺3000 but does not allow me to purchase it because the child is 6 years old. It forces me to buy from the call center. When I try to buy from the call center, they give a price of over ₺5000 for the same ticket. We have not achieved any results from our feedback. It seems they are making up for the 5 promotional tickets we bought by charging 5 times the price for the child's ticket. We cannot cancel because they say it is a promotional ticket. The 6th ticket, the one for the child, which we could not purchase due to the call center's misguidance, is being sold at 5 times the price. They are not helping in any way, saying I have to buy this ticket. Thank you, THY, for ruining our first international trip before it even started.
