Turkish Airlines Charged Me ₺8500 for the Change of My Birthdate
Half an hour ago, I purchased tickets for myself and my three children using the THY app. I am certain that I entered my birthdate correctly, but after completing the ticketing process, I noticed that the day and month had changed to October 31. I am very sure that this mistake did not originate from me because my son experienced the same issue and was not allowed to make changes. I spent an hour trying to correct this erroneous information in the system. I checked everything thoroughly and found no problems, yet after ticketing, my birthdate was incorrectly recorded. I called the call center to correct my information and they charged me ₺8500 for the change. I had to make this unfair payment even though it was clearly an application error by THY, and the cost was passed onto me. I am requesting a refund of the information correction fee I paid because the app changed the information on its own, and I spent half an hour trying to fix it. Unfortunately, I bought the ticket without noticing the change in my information and had to pay an extra ₺8500. The issues in the app are not the passenger's fault. I want a refund for the extra fee I paid.
