On the evening of August 13th, I arrived at the airport to fly from Kayseri to Istanbul on the 20:25 THY flight. When I got in line for check-in, I didn't realize it was 19:48. The counter screen was on, and there were two people ahead of me. However, while waiting, the screen suddenly turned off, and the staff gave no warning. When it was my turn, they told us that the counter was closed and directed us to ticket sales. I explained that the counter was open and that I couldn't buy tickets for ₺10,000 for two people again. The staff member claimed the screen had turned off before I arrived. Despite repeatedly saying that I checked the flight information on the screen before getting in line, they did not help at all. I couldn't understand how they sold my ticket at 2-3 times the price when there were two people ahead of me. They mentioned checking the camera recordings, etc. Due to the indifferent attitude of the employees, my daughter and I were left stranded. It's unacceptable to treat people this way when the plane's door hasn't even closed yet. When I spoke to a THY employee, they mentioned that such issues happen frequently and that passengers often return crying. I hope THY resolves this issue for us.
