Wego Hotel Reservation Rejected at Check-In Despite Payment

While searching for a hotel for my vacation through Trivago, I was redirected to a website called Wego.com, where I made a reservation at Kleopatra Sun Light Hotel in Alanya for July 6 through July 10. My credit card was charged $326 for this reservation under booking reference WH267626016.

My family and I traveled from Ankara to Alanya by our own car, but when we tried to check in at the hotel, the reception staff told us that the reservation was considered an international booking and therefore could not be used by us. As a result, we were unable to stay at the hotel and were left in a very difficult situation.

We requested a refund after this happened, but no refund has been credited to my account so far. Despite having already paid for the reservation, we were unable to check into the hotel and I have also been unable to recover my money. I have also submitted a complaint about the situation to CİMER, the Turkish government's official public complaint system.

I request that the transaction made through Trivago and Wego.com be investigated and that the reservation, which was rejected by the hotel on the grounds that it was an international booking, be canceled and the full $326 I paid be refunded to me as soon as possible. I expect this matter to be addressed urgently and my financial loss and inconvenience to be fully resolved.
