Turkish Airlines Canceled My Flight Without Reason

On November 28th, I had a flight with Turkish Airlines from Istanbul Airport. Five hours before the flight, I received information that it was canceled. When I asked the THY representative at the airport for the reason, they said it was due to operational reasons. I requested compensation for my expenses and 100 Euros as per Civil Aviation Rules. Seven days later, THY informed me that they couldn't provide compensation because the cancellation was due to reasons beyond their control. However, they did not clarify what those reasons were. It is quite ridiculous for an airline of this caliber to give such an unprofessional explanation. I objected to their response. However, 17 days have passed since my last objection, and I still haven't received a response, nor can I find anyone to discuss the issue with. I have filed a complaint with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. My process continues from there. But it is disappointing that a company that presents itself as a global brand would approach the situation this way. By the way, on the day and time of my flight, both Turkish Airlines and other companies were flying everywhere without any issues. I want to point out that if they are going to blame weather conditions, they should know that the wind doesn't choose planes.

I think they felt the need to respond when I brought the complaint here. But just as I expected, they said it was canceled due to weather conditions. It's really strange that weather conditions didn't affect many flights happening at the same time but only affected mine :) I hope the General Directorate of Civil Aviation will start an investigation into this situation. The airline company cancels flights for arbitrary reasons, blames it on weather conditions, and thus skillfully avoids the compensation of 100 € for domestic and 400 € for international flights. As I mentioned, I filed a complaint with the General Directorate of Civil Aviation. I will provide updates on the developments.
