Turkish Airlines Arranged a Hotel for Only One and a Half Hours
I had a connecting flight with THY from Izmir to Samsun via Istanbul. Initially, the Izmir-Istanbul flight was delayed twice and rescheduled to 19:45. I had been preparing for this flight since 2 PM and then faced this delay. However, the worst part was that my Istanbul-Samsun flight was rescheduled to around 5 AM. Upon arriving in Istanbul, we were told that hotel support would be provided, but we reached Istanbul at 10 PM and the hotel at around 12:30 AM, meaning we waited for about two hours. The other unfortunate situation was that we were only hosted at the hotel for one and a half hours.
We are volunteers at Teknofest, and with the festival's exhaustion and these events, we were greatly inconvenienced. Why take us to a hotel for just one and a half hours? We arrived at the hotel at 12:30 AM, and you said we would be sent back at 2 AM! At least you could have offered to reschedule our tickets so we could rest enough to recover from our fatigue. I am speaking not only for myself and my fellow volunteers at Teknofest but also for the international visitors who were equally inconvenienced. There was no need to tarnish Turkish Airlines' reputation. You are a major company, and most importantly, the word 'Turkish' is in your name, so please provide services considering this.
