Turkish Airlines Anadolu Jet Ticket Refund Issue

On August 13, 2023, at 10:55 AM, I had a flight from Ankara to Şırnak. I had purchased my ticket from Anadolu Jet, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines (THY). As can be seen from the airport's camera recordings, I started waiting in line at 10:00 AM to check in my luggage. My baggage allowance was 8 kg for hand luggage and 15 kg for checked luggage. When it was my turn, the female officer at the counter told me that my suitcase was 18 kg and that I needed to take 3 kg out as it could not be accepted on the plane otherwise. However, considering the flight time, she did not remind me that I could use my extra baggage allowance. Despite stating that I was military personnel and presenting my ID, she did not grant me my entitled additional baggage allowance and did not assist me in any way. I had to reorganize my suitcase and get back in line from the beginning. When it was my turn again, even though it was only 10:15 AM, I was informed that boarding had started and baggage check-in was closed. I was declared a late passenger and was not allowed to board the plane. I was directed to the information desk, and when I wanted to reconsider my ticket, I was told that I could not use my ticket again and had to purchase an extra flight ticket. To avoid being late for my duty, I paid for a new ticket for the 11:55 AM Ankara - Mardin flight and traveled to Mardin. From there, I had to take a bus to Şırnak. Due to not being granted my rightful baggage allowance, I was sent back to the beginning of the line, causing a loss of time. Despite arriving early at the airport, I was informed that boarding had started and I could not board the plane. I found a ticket to Mardin. Due to the incompetence and indifference of your staff, I suffered both financially and emotionally. I work in a district where travel is prohibited after dark due to terrorism, and I had to join my unit after dark. The cost of the new flight ticket, the bus journey from Mardin to Şırnak, and the taxi fares in between are approximately three times the cost of your flight ticket. I request compensation for my financial and emotional losses.
