THY Lost Baggage Compensation Issue
On 7-5-2024, during my THY1952 Amsterdam-Ankara flight, I experienced the loss of 2x suitcases, and I strongly condemn what THY has put me through. In my compensation claim, they accept to reimburse the expenses I incurred at the time of the loss. One of my suitcases was found, but the one containing my most important belongings is still missing. For the compensation of the items in the lost suitcase, they are asking for the original receipts of the items. How many people would think to keep the receipts of items purchased 2 or 3 months ago, take photos of them, and place them in the suitcase just in case they might travel with THY and lose their belongings? Despite informing them at least 6-7 times that I do not have the receipts and it is impossible for me to obtain them, they still insist on asking for the receipts. I hope THY reviews their behavior that has victimized me at the age of 86 for days and takes the necessary actions. F A*****
