Turkish Airlines Flight Delay and Lost Luggage Issue
On 01.04.2024, during the Singapore layover of my TK0169 Melbourne/Istanbul flight, our plane malfunctioned, and we had to stay in Singapore for two days. Upon arriving in Istanbul, I discovered that one of my two suitcases was missing, and a lost baggage report was filed. After a month, it was concluded that my suitcase could not be found, and I was directed to the compensation unit. I created a list of the contents of my lost baggage, valued at ₺118450. They requested invoices or credit slips, but I informed them that my purchases were made in cash and that my receipts were in the lost suitcase. Despite this, I was offered a meager amount of ₺25000. In addition to the two-day delay and the time lost, I am once again the victim due to the loss of my suitcase, for which your company is entirely responsible. If no real assistance is provided regarding this matter, I will file a lawsuit. If a prestigious company like THY continues to mistreat its passengers in this way, it is truly disappointing.
