THY canceled my flight without notifying me. I discovered this by chance while checking my email abroad. I cannot make flight changes through the app as it gives an error. I reached out to THY via WhatsApp, but they suggested a night flight instead and told me to change it myself through the app, which still doesn't work. Despite there being cheaper airlines, I paid significantly more to trust your service, and you left me stranded abroad. The cancellation was communicated to me abruptly via email. I have to leave my hotel at 12 PM, and it's impossible for me to wait in the city with my luggage until midnight. According to the airline passenger rights regulation: Article 6 – (1) In case of flight cancellation, the operating air carrier shall: a) Offer assistance to the affected passengers in accordance with Article 9. b) Offer assistance to the affected passengers in accordance with Article 10(1)(a) and Article 10(2), and if the new flight's expected departure time is on the day or days following the scheduled departure time of the canceled flight, offer additional assistance as specified in Article 10(1)(b) and (c). (2) Passengers are entitled to compensation from the operating air carrier if: 1) They were not informed of the cancellation at least two weeks before the scheduled departure time. 2) They were not informed of the cancellation between two weeks and seven days before the scheduled departure time and were not offered rerouting allowing them to depart no more than two hours before the scheduled time and reach their final destination no more than four hours after the scheduled arrival time. 3) They were not informed of the cancellation less than seven days before the scheduled departure time and were not offered rerouting allowing them to depart no more than one hour before the scheduled time and reach their final destination no more than two hours after the scheduled arrival time. I request that you cover my accommodation expenses in the city (Venice) until the proposed 23:00 flight and compensate me as stated in the regulation. Please respond urgently.
