THY Canceled My International Flight and Won't Let Me Book a New Ticket!
THY canceled my July 5th Venice-Istanbul flight without notifying me. I found out by chance while checking my email abroad. I can't make flight changes through the app; it gives an error. I contacted THY via WhatsApp, but they suggested a night flight and told me to change it myself through the app. The app doesn't work and keeps giving errors. I've been messaging them for hours since this morning, and they keep sending links that don't work. I send screenshots, and they give me different links that also don't work. There are only 2 days left until my original flight. After hours of messaging, they now say there's no availability on the suggested flight and told me to contact my travel agent, just to get rid of me. This is a deliberate frustration policy. I have to leave my hotel at 11 AM, and it's impossible for me to wait in the city with my luggage until midnight. I told them they need to arrange a hotel, but they didn't even respond. Should my travel agent arrange the hotel? The airline that canceled the flight is responsible. They don't care about laws or regulations. I will pursue my rights and won't let them take even ₺1 from me, but this entry should serve as a lesson to its readers.
