Paid Seat Issue on Turkish Airlines Flight TK-7391
On August 1, 2023, my Turkish Airlines flight TK-7391 from Sirnak to Istanbul, scheduled for 15:10, was delayed by an hour. The delay was attributed to an aircraft malfunction, and we were informed that another plane was being redirected. When booking my ticket, I paid extra for seat 14A with additional legroom. However, the plane that arrived did not have extra legroom for seat 14A. I informed the authorities that I had paid for a seat with extra legroom, but my complaint was not addressed. Passengers in rows 15 and 16 told me they did not pay any extra fee and simply requested more legroom during check-in. Why did you give free seats to others and leave me dissatisfied? Is this acceptable for Turkish Airlines? Where is the customer satisfaction? Is the lack of Pegasus flights in Sirnak the reason for this negligence? I am compelled to choose your airline again, but I will continue to document these issues. If necessary, I will escalate this to CIMER.
