There is no other airline as poor in service as THY. I purchased a round-trip ticket from Baku to Istanbul for the dates between November 2-8. My outbound flight was canceled around 2 AM due to an issue with THY's own system.
I was told it was canceled due to weather conditions. I changed my ticket, but this time I received seven delay notifications, and my flight, which was supposed to be at 14:00, only took off 12 hours later at night, leaving me stranded. On my return flight, even though I was at the gate 20 minutes before departure and the screen did not indicate 'gates closed', I was not allowed to board the plane.
I argued for five minutes to call someone responsible. Ten minutes later, the screen displayed 'gates closed' and they tried to sell me a new ticket at three times the price I originally paid, for a flight 6 hours later. So, we waited 16 hours for this irresponsible company's plane, and they did not board passengers who arrived on time.
They told us 'you can't call a new vehicle, you won't make it to the plane' and left us stranded. I have never encountered such poor service before. I will take this company to court.
