Issue with Turkish Airlines Istanbul-Hannover Flight Cancellation
On 25.08.2023 at 06:30, an announcement was made at the gate of the flight from Esenboğa to Sabiha Gökçen asking if there were passengers for connecting flights to Hannover, Basel, and Zurich. I had a flight to Hannover, but since the Sabiha Gökçen flight was delayed, it was announced that Hannover passengers would not be allowed on this flight.
Approximately 10 to 15 passengers, including myself, who had boarding passes, were not allowed on the flight. I learned that the website from which I purchased my ticket had issued an independent ticket instead of a connecting ticket. Despite expressing my desire to still fly to Sabiha Gökçen, I was not permitted to board the plane.
As a result, both my Hannover flight and my return flight from Berlin to Ankara on 27.08.2023 were canceled. I request compensation for my inconvenience. Otherwise, I will pursue legal action.
