Turkish Airlines Didn't Pay the Compensation for Overbooking
Despite purchasing a ticket for the Istanbul - Trabzon flight on 10.08.2023, I was not allowed to board as I was told my check-in period had expired. However, I tried to complete online check-in from 12 hours before the flight until 6 hours prior, but the system kept giving errors and I couldn't check-in! When I passed through the control points and reached the final check, I was informed that I wouldn't be allowed to board the plane due to overbooking. Despite having plans and work, I had no choice but to accept the situation. There were 7 other passengers like me who were not allowed to board; they made us stay in a hotel overnight and told us we could fly with the morning flight. THY mentioned they would compensate us with 100 Euros for the inconvenience.
We were given a piece of paper and directed to the ticket processing desks for payment, but both Istanbul and Trabzon Airports said they had no cash. I was instructed to provide online feedback, which I did, but received no response. The automated email stated that they would contact me within 7 business days and send the compensation via IBAN. It has been 14 days since then. Despite calling multiple times and explaining the situation, no one has contacted me, and my compensation has not been paid. Each time I call, I am told that the issue has been reported to the relevant department and that they will call me, but even after 14 days, I have received no response. I want to be informed and contacted about the situation. I am complaining due to the inconvenience I have experienced!
