I Hold Turkish Airlines Responsible for the Death of My Healthy Dog
I was a CIP/VIP passenger on flight number TK2507, on July 23, 2024 at 14.25, going from Bodrum to Istanbul. I wanted to travel with my 8-kilogram Cavalier dog due to his illness. I declared to the authorized personnel that my dog has soft tissue prolapse disease and has problems such as not being able to breathe in hot weather conditions and indoors. Even though I insisted on it, they did not let me take my dog with me and took it under the plane. The flight, scheduled for 14.25, took off at 16.30 with a delay of approximately 2 hours. They took my dog from me alive and brought his dead body to me an hour later. Although they did not make any explanation, the insults and behavior of the official police officers there doubled the pain I suffered. While I was face to face with an emotional tram, I was also subjected to verbal violence by official police officers. My goal was just to find out why my dog died. They did not support anything. Other than bringing my dog's dead body. I am having difficulty repairing the damage this issue has left on me and my family. All those in authority are responsible for my dog's death. There are countless complaints about you on the internet regarding animal transport. It seems that you have been held responsible for the deaths of other dogs before. It's so sad that I had to add my dog of 5 years to these complaints. I ask you to take responsibility. I have difficulty describing my feelings. I leave this issue to your conscience.
