My Flight with Turkish Airlines for My Healthy Sultan Parrot Got Canceled!
I am A*** K****. On 05.04.2024, I landed at Istanbul Airport from Dalaman. I had my Sultan parrot with me. I had obtained a health certificate from the district agriculture office and bought a ticket for the flight. During my flight to Istanbul, my Sultan parrot traveled with me in the cabin. For the return flight to Dalaman on 11.04.2024 at 22:10, they did not allow my Sultan parrot in the cabin. Despite mentioning that it traveled this way on the way here, they ignored it. They insisted that the parrot should be in the baggage compartment with a cage. However, they eventually allowed the parrot in the cabin. Ten minutes before takeoff, they took me off the plane, stating that the "ventilation was not working" and they could not allow the parrot on the plane. Since there were no flights that evening, I had to wait at the airport until the morning. I will never choose this airline again. This was not fitting for such a big company.
