Dacia Sandero Stepway Transmission Failure After Reverse Gear

Dacia Sandero Stepway Transmission Failure After Reverse Gear

I have been experiencing a serious and recurring transmission problem with my 2018 Dacia Sandero Stepway, which currently has approximately 57,000 km on the odometer. This issue has been ongoing for about a year and is affecting the vehicle's safety and reliability.

After a three-bar error appears on the dashboard, the vehicle refuses to shift into forward gear. This creates a serious risk of being stranded, particularly when maneuvering. The problem does not occur while driving at high speed. Instead, it happens when I shift the vehicle into reverse gear (R) and then attempt to shift back into a forward gear.

Since this issue has become recurring, I previously took the vehicle to a repair shop. However, because it was not an authorized Dacia service center, they were unable to provide a definitive diagnosis or a reliable solution.

Given the persistent nature of this transmission fault and the potential safety risk it creates, I request that Dacia carry out a thorough inspection to identify the exact cause and ensure that the necessary repairs are completed so that my vehicle can be used safely and reliably again.

I also request that this fault not be dismissed as driver error without a proper technical investigation. I expect Dacia to take responsibility for investigating this recurring problem and provide an appropriate solution to resolve the inconvenience and difficulties I have experienced.
