Disrespectful Behavior by Turkish Airlines Staff on Flight TK 1509
Attention THY, I am N** A**, and on October 3rd, we took flight TK 1509 from Istanbul Airport to Nuremberg Airport at 11:50 AM. We purchased tickets for four people and specifically informed the staff member during ticket issuance that my cousin G** O**'s 3-year-old daughter A** has special needs, requesting our seats to be together.
We were told that the seating would be arranged on the plane, but it was done in a problematic manner with significant argument. Eventually, after much difficulty and argument, we managed to seat the 3-year-old child next to her mother. Since the mother could not handle the situation alone, I needed to sit with them to assist, but I was seated elsewhere. The ground staff's attitude and behavior, discussing the child's special condition publicly and demanding seats in a harsh manner, made me very uncomfortable.
A child, regardless of the situation, should always be with their mother. Using the child's special condition to emotionally manipulate and arrange seating by garnering sympathy is neither humane nor professional. We were very disturbed by the public disclosure of our child's special condition. I request the necessary authorities to take appropriate action regarding this issue with their staff.
