I made a reservation through Trip.com for a hotel called “Castle Cave Kapadokya” located in Ortahisar, Cappadocia, Nevşehir, Turkey. My reservation number is 1638317314812949. Today, after arriving from abroad and going to the location shown on the map, we discovered that no such hotel exists at the listed address and that there is physically no hotel there.
I paid €433 by credit card for this reservation. After experiencing this issue, I contacted Trip.com, and they told me they would resolve the problem and get back to me the same day regarding a refund. However, despite the stated timeframe passing, I have received no follow-up, and my payment has not been refunded.
Because the hotel did not actually exist, I was forced to urgently find a new hotel in a city I was unfamiliar with. I incurred additional transportation costs and unexpected food expenses due to the disruption of my plans. Selling a reservation for a hotel that does not physically exist — and the resulting extra accommodation, transportation, and meal costs — has caused me serious inconvenience and financial loss.
I request the immediate and full refund of the €433 I paid. In addition, I demand reimbursement for all additional expenses I was forced to incur, including the new hotel, transportation, and food costs. I also request that a thorough investigation be conducted to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
