I made a hotel reservation through Trip.com, paying ₺17,416 in total. After canceling the booking, I received only ₺17,050 back as a refund—already ₺366 short for no clear reason. But that wasn’t the end of it.
Shortly after, I noticed that another charge of ₺18,160 was withdrawn from my account. When I contacted Trip.com to understand why I was charged again after canceling, they claimed it was the same transaction, which makes absolutely no sense. How can a canceled reservation generate two different charges?
To make matters worse, there is no customer support based in Turkey. The only way to reach anyone is through international communication, and even then, no one is helping or offering a proper explanation.
I demand a full and transparent breakdown of all charges and a complete refund of the unauthorized ₺18,160 deduction. This is a serious issue of overcharging and mishandling of cancellations, and I won’t hesitate to take further action if it's not resolved immediately. Trip.com must take accountability and provide proper local support for Turkish customers.
