Even though I am a Trendyol Elite customer, on November 18, I purchased an Ailipu induction cooker from a seller named Evkolik on Trendyol with delivery code 8964456391. Trusting Trendyol's customer protection policy, I did not check the seller's reviews. However, when the product arrived, I found it was previously used, returned, and defective. Naturally, I immediately initiated the return process, explaining the reason and attaching photos to Trendyol, and returned the product. The product reached the seller, but they refused to approve the return.
I contacted customer service through live chat and informed them that the seller had not approved the return. I also pointed out that, based on the reviews, this seller had a habit of behaving this way and had received many negative comments. Trendyol's response was astonishing: "There is a 21-day waiting period, and returns for electronic products are assessed under warranty coverage." Despite staying calm and repeatedly explaining that I was exercising my right to withdraw and that this was not about a warranty issue, I emphasized that the seller had intentionally sent a defective product. Yet, I was told the same thing: "This is our policy; the seller has 21 days to either repair the product or approve a refund."
I repeatedly stated, "What warranty? What withdrawal? The seller deliberately sent me a defective product," and explained that I had immediately uploaded photos of the product and initiated the return process. The answer remained the same. Essentially, the seller is now deliberately making me wait 21 days, and after that, they will either send the product back, repair it, or do something else. But Trendyol is effectively forcing me to repurchase a used and broken product through its system. In my 20 years of shopping online and on marketplaces, I have never experienced such an issue with platforms like N11 or Hepsiburada. I’ve never even heard of such a problem. In short, Trendyol is nothing but regret.
