On 27 December 2025, I purchased a TP-Link TD-W9970 modem from amazon.com.tr for ₺874. Until that day, I had been using the modem provided by my internet service provider and I had absolutely no issues with my connection. Approximately one month after I started using the TP-Link TD-W9970, I began to experience serious drops in internet speed, freezes and very frequent disconnections. These problems clearly appeared only after switching to this modem. When I reconnect the provider’s own modem to the same line, there is no problem, whereas the connection problems repeat when I use the TP-Link TD-W9970. Because of these issues, I contacted TP-Link customer service multiple times. However, each time they tried to put the blame on the internet service provider and turned the situation into something difficult and time‑consuming to prove, instead of acknowledging the possibility of a fault in the modem. In reality, on the same line, there is no problem with the provider’s modem, and all problems arise only when using the TP-Link TD-W9970. The attitude I have encountered gives the impression of a company that takes the money and then disowns responsibility, which I find very disrespectful towards the consumer. I request that the constant disconnections, speed drops and freezes I have experienced with this modem be acknowledged as a product issue and that the price I paid for this faulty device be refunded.
