My New Toyota Corolla Had Major Issues After Only 13,000 km

On December 30, 2022, we excitedly purchased a brand-new Toyota Corolla 1.5 Dream Multidrive S from Ankara Toyota Efe. At just 13,000 km, the dashboard displayed warnings for EPB Failure, Drive Start Control Failure, and Engine Check, advising us to visit the dealership. On April 4, 2024, I took my car to the Toyota Plaza Toyan service center, where they said the part needed replacement under warranty. They delayed providing a replacement vehicle even though the service form stated one would be given if repairs took more than 10 business days. Due to the holiday, we were left without a car and faced significant inconvenience, especially with a baby. It took 22 days to get a replacement vehicle. Over a month later, we are still waiting for the part from abroad. The staff is only able to send emails, offering no further assistance. If this issue is found to be chronic, we will pursue legal action. We expected Toyota to uphold its brand value, but instead, we have been left disappointed and regretful. We are sharing our experience with those around us and will continue to provide feedback on the brand quality through every channel available.

The part finally arrived from abroad, and I received my car on 10.05.2024. I have been using my car without any issues for a few weeks now. I hope I don't encounter the same or a similar manufacturing defect.

I experienced this malfunction again on February 13, 2026. I will call the dealer tomorrow.
